I know that a small block Chevy will fit in nicely and the hardest thing is moving the steering box. We replaced the rear end/axles with one from a 70's model Buick station wagon. I also know a Chevy 235 will bolt up, but is shorter in length. Why not go with a much newer engine if you plan to make it a daily driver? like a 70s Chevy six.
