I owned a '46 K-1 and it had electric wiper motors, I think they were Bosch. The '46 was also 6 volt, positive ground, no 12 volt circuits or voltage reducers.

The KB-5's didn't come with electic windshield they were vaccum operated sometime they worked sometime they didn't. We had two 47's one was a 5 &the other one KB-7 good trucks they could haul the loads.

wipers came 6-volt electric, made by American Bosch. Not sure if turn signal were even an option. Most of what I have seen, was that a selector from Signal-Stat was added later as state laws required them. Same for 4-way hazard systems. I have a 1948 KBS-8 semi-truck tractor with a brush gaurd, but can find no listing of it being an option. can send picture if you want.

CURT,
I have seen a lot of KB IH's with a grill guard. They were good looking guards. Perhaps IH offered them as an extra, but don't know. Regards Richard

According to my operator's manual for a KB-5, they were equipped with Bosch electric wipers. I can't find any reference to signal lites in the manual or the wiring diagram. Also can't find anything about a brush-guard. They were available with Hydrovac power brakes.
