Does anyone know what hubs and drums will swap over to a 1958 chevy 2wd truck? I am using the front axle in a different car (1964 Falcon) with 5 lug rims and I would like to have just one bolt pattern. Thanks for any help I get - Peter |

| You can get five lug brake drums on your axle by using hubs from a chevy car, 1949-1954, believe they will fit your brakes fine too. but, this bolt pattern will still be different from the small pattern that ford used on the Falcon. |

| Thanks a lot for the help. Off to the junk yard now, what are the odds of me finding a 1949 chevy in a San Diego junk yard??? :) As long as I can find something with five lugs, regardless of the bolt pattern I will have tripled my options for rims since they don't really offer car rims with six lugs. Thanks again - Peter |

| | The 5 hole Falcon bolt circle should be 4-1/2 inch, while the 49-54 Chevy should be 4-3/4 inch. You could go to custom wheels like the old ET mags that had interchangable lug inserts so they could have 4-1/2---4-3/4 or 5 inch bolt circle. Also you could swap in an early Nova/Camaro rear axle with the 4-3/4 bolt pattern. They were narrow and made for leaf springs,so may be an easy swap into your Falcon. Another way is to use the front axle from an early(60's)Ford econoline van. They are a light weight beam axle with the same 4-1/2 bolt circle as the Falcon rear end. |
