Does anyone know if Ford ever built any trucks
with the small block 302, 351 windsor and a 6
speed manual tranny? I'm repairing an 85
F350 and installing a modified 300-6. A
manual tranny would get a little better
mileage.

I believe you can buy an aftermarket six speed that will fit behind a small block. However, I don't think it would hold up to hard pulling, even with the 300 six.

Should be able to find a heavy duty five speed from behind a 351W though.
