Hi guys, I am in the middle of restoring an 84 Chevy Stepside. Doing pretty good on most of it, Skyjacker 6" lift, M/T rims, 35" Super Swampers, BBC 454 +.040 (500HP, 600ft-lbs of torque), Rust free body from a place called "Crazy Eddie" in Cedar Rapids, IA (Great prices, easy to deal with). We painted the frame with this stuff called Rust Shield. Makes it look great for less than $200.

Now the problem. I am not much of an interior guy, but my dash is shot, most trim panels are too. As you can see from the list above, my budget is getting pretty sparse. Does anyone know anything about those "dash covers" out there? How about a good used dash (preferably tan or black) Thanks

Thanks for all of your inputs. I called LMC and they want about $250 for a new dash pad. They have something that you can put over you old dash for about $100. Ray

LMC Truck sells dash covers in the $100 range I think. For my '87 K10 I bought a new GM dashpad from the dealer for $275. Check around and see what your dealer wants for one, if you can get it that cheap I would go ahead and buy a new one for a little more than a cover.

nc jd guy, Try the LMC catalogue. They have those replacement dashes and door panels. Sorry, I can't find mine tonight so I can get the 800 #. Try looking on the web.

I can't find where in your post that you're restoring anything. Did I miss something? :>)

Loren: Call it what you want, restoring, rebuilding.... Whatever, I just know it should look like new and it should do what I want it to.
