My '90 Mazda B2200 cab plus with the two-piece driveshaft requires new front and rear u-joints (only 389K on the old ones!!). Everyone's parts lists (including NAPA) shows only a replacement for the center, diaphram mounted bearing. The front and rear bearings are staked at the factory and are reported NOT AVAILABLE in everybodies parts lists. Have any of you good folks encountered this problem and if so, what was your work-around (like in P/N's) Thanks in advance, Ed in 'ole Virginny |

| I had the same problem with my 86 mazda b2000 I found another driveshaft(whole truck) cheap but I was going to mill out the yokes and put in a dodge u joint that has the clips on the inside. |

| Back in the 70's a lot of GM driveshafts had non replacable U joint bearings requiring you to replace the complete shaft. After a few years the driveline rebuilders found ways to machine the non repairable shafts so they could install new U joints. Thet would sell a repaired shaft on an exchange basis or rebuild your old one for a fraction of the price of a new shaft. I would check at a truck or driveline rebuilder to see if the same deal is avalible for your Mazda. |
