Just purchased a '71 model 1310 IH dump truck. Reverse is "top right". Can someone tell me the shifting pattern, It doesn't seem to have a very low gear in any position. I believe the engine is IH 348 CI?

Gary - If it's a 4 speed creeper gear is left and forward.

If the pivot ball near the bottom of the shift lever has broken loose on the lever, 1st and reverse can be difficult or impossible to find. Securing the ball back to the lever with a spot of weld will fix it (be sure to properly orient the ball before welding!)
