My 65 Mustang has a bad miss upon acceleration. It starts OK. I replace the point/rotor/condenser and plugs, but till a miss. Any suggestions? |

| Check the soldered attachment point where the ground wire under the distributor base plate attaches to the distributor housing. This can vibrate loose or break, causing a miss or the engine to quit. This happened on a 70 Maverick with the 200CI-6 I had. Re-soldering the ground wire solved the problem. |

| I would also check the vacuum advance and make sure it is working properly. They have been known to go bad. |

| I would say its a bad plug wire, runs fine without a load, but under acceleration, won't carry the voltage to fire the plug, might be time for a whole new set of plug wires? |
