All info I see tells me the 1963 1 ton has the 292 ci engine. So what's the difference between the 1 ton and the 3/4 ton of the same year?? And don't say about 1/4 ton.....thankx jim

In 1963 you could have had a 6 cylinder in-line, the 292, and I think a 352. I think the 6 cyl. was probably the base engine, and either of the V-8s would have been an option.

You couldn't get the 352 in trucks untill 65, the 63 would have been a 223 inling 6, and maby the 262 inling 6, the 292 was the only V8 offered. The one ton had heaver brakes, and rearend with single or dual wheels.

Hello, I have a 1963 1 ton Ford, I want to replace some parts, but I am not having any luck finding parts for a 1 ton, I can only find parts for 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton. Is the cab the same as the 1/2 ton, will the windshield be the same size and what about the radiator support? If any one can help me please - - I am at a loss. Will the parts interace with each other? Thanks, Rodger

I stand corrected. I keep forgetting that Ford did not always offer the same engines in the trucks as were offered in their cars.
