I posted a photo in the album section, and realized that there is no listing for anyone to contact me. I would appreciate anyone with any information to contact me. I am trying to help my neighbor clean up his property and this old truck needs a home. I don't think it will be free, but I am sure a deal could be made. The truck is one hour from the Philadelphia PA area. I hope it is OK to try to find info and a home for the beast on this format. Thanks |

| I am also about 1 hour from Phila. If the truck is still available I would be interested in taking a look at it. |

| In the early seventies, my dad bought a 54 Ford 750 'Big Job'. It had a 332 4V with a working 4th transmission. It also had air brakes. It was the same cab style as the '51 in the picture. I suppose it was a road tractor originally but it had a dump bed on it when we had it. It was really a power house compared to the other trucks we had on the farm at the time. When it really started to cause problems, the old man took a cutting torch to it and put what we couldn't use along the creek bank.HJ |

| | A true "diamond in the rough". I hope somebody gives her a good home! I remember about 30 odd years ago, a neighbour had one of these 53-54 C.O.E Fords - (a Canadian built Mercury C.O.E. actually with the optional chrome trim!)with a beavertail deck on the back for hauling his '40 Chevy "Gasser" drag car. The race car and truck had matching paint and lettering and for power, he replaced the original 331 V8 with a built Chevy 409! mart |

| | That would definitely be cool, a lot of people put them on newer chassis with roll back beds to haul their street rods on. Good luck with it. Fireman in KY |

| That is a 51 or 52 COE, a very wanted truck! Coe's are big item now. Most just want body though, I hate that when they tear apart. That one looks pretty nice, with dump bed yet! It's also short wheelbase, another nice part. Will be flathead, looks all orig to me, another plus! The Lincoln engines were used in F7 or bigger "BIg Job" trucks only, bigger capacity. This is a 2-ton rated truck, probly weighs 6800 lbs or more with bed empty. $2-300 dollars is a bargain! If money is factor, go higher, or ebay? If getting it out quick is factor, keep it lower. Generally Big trucks have little value, but COE is much diff story. Advertise! Go to www.yahoogroups.com and find the old coe list. Plenty of fellas on there would love to have that truck. |

| That looks like a 1951 Ford. Cab-over, or stubby as its known in places. It should have a flathead V-8, and may well have the bigger Lincoln Flathead, also could have who knows what kind of newer V8 installed. Bigger trucks like this don't bring the money that pickups do, In this condition, am guessing 100-200dollars, just think of the $$ a new set of tires would cost! Probably weighs 3-4 tons, one would need something heavy to pull it with, and a shed big enough to put it in. But sure would make a nice rig when finished up, imagine it with a roll-back to haul pickups on. John in Ne. |
